New Crew Member
Checkpoint safety, walk group assisting, the role of crew member is varied and exciting
  • Gain outdoor skills from pre and mid season training
  • Get FREE treks throughout the year
  • Be part of something special
  •  Being a source of inspiration to weary walkers
  • Being master at improvisation and adapting to various risk scenarios
  • Delivering first aid in challenging conditions (If trained)
  • Being creative when it comes to establishing and maintaining communications
  • Knowing where all the walkers are on your patch
  • Assisting (in some way) other walkers that are not overlimits clients. This is a common way that marshals get to assist others, it makes sense that due to the proximity of so many outdoor people and the locations that we often spend time in that our chances of coming across others who might need help increases.
  • Providing refreshments/water to the walkers (Provided by overlimits)
  • Looking after self, having the right kit and refreshments and raising any concerns immediately in regards to anything that constitutes a health and safety physical or metal risk.
